1. Nature of Service — Not a Medical or Therapeutic Service

Rant an Ear provides non-professional, non-clinical emotional support listening services only. Our listeners are not licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, social workers, or any other type of licensed mental health professional.

Our service is designed solely for the purpose of emotional expression, conversation, and catharsis. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, crisis intervention, or psychiatric treatment.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services
• You must be a resident of or currently located in India
• You must not be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a session
• You must complete the pre-screening process before your first session
• We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide reasons

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rant an Ear, its founders, employees, contractors, and listeners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to:

• Your use of or reliance on our listening services
• Any decisions made by you following a session
• Any emotional, psychological, physical, or financial harm allegedly resulting from our services
• Failure to prevent harm to yourself or others
• Technical failures, service interruptions, or session cancellations
• Any act or omission of our listeners in good faith

In any event, our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific session in connection with which the claim arises.

4. No Guarantees or Warranties

Our services are provided “as is” without any warranty, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:

• Any particular emotional or psychological outcome
• Listener availability or compatibility
• Continuity of service
• The accuracy of any information or guidance shared during sessions

5. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information during pre-screening
• Arrive on time for scheduled sessions at the agreed cafe location
• Treat listeners with respect — abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate session termination without refund
• Not record any session (audio, video, or otherwise) without explicit prior written consent
• Not engage in any romantic, sexual, or inappropriate conduct with listeners
• Not share listener personal information with any third party
• Not use the service for any illegal, unethical, or harmful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

All content on rantanear.com, including text, branding, logo, and design, is the exclusive property of Rant an Ear. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of our content without prior written permission.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You agree to attempt good-faith resolution through direct communication before initiating any formal legal proceedings.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rant an Ear and its representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Your continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
