Rant an Ear and its listeners agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personal information, disclosures, and session content shared by clients. This includes:

Confidentiality is not absolute. There are narrow, legally recognized exceptions under which we may disclose information without your prior consent:
If a client discloses a clear, credible, and imminent intent to cause serious physical harm to themselves or to an identified third party, we reserve the right to take reasonable steps to prevent such harm. This may include, at our discretion, contacting emergency services or appropriate authorities. This is a discretionary action, not a guaranteed obligation, and does not establish any duty of care or create liability on our part.
We may disclose information if compelled to do so by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable Indian law. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the client in advance, to the extent permitted by law.
Information may be disclosed to the extent necessary to defend any legal claim or allegation made against Rant an Ear or its representatives.
Rant an Ear does not audio-record, video-record, photograph, or otherwise capture any session without explicit prior written consent. You also agree not to record sessions without our written consent. Any unauthorized recording by the client constitutes a breach of this agreement and these Terms of Service.
We are also not responsible for security breaches resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to cyberattacks on third-party platforms used for communication.
This agreement is mutual. As a client, you also agree to:
This confidentiality obligation applies indefinitely and survives the termination of any service relationship with Rant an Ear.
It is important to note that the confidentiality protections offered by Rant an Ear are contractual in nature and do not carry the same legal weight as communications protected under therapist-client or attorney-client privilege under Indian law. We are not licensed healthcare providers and therefore our communications may not be legally privileged in court proceedings.
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
