Cancellation Policy

Summary: We understand that plans change. However, due to the nature of our exclusive, slot-based service, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable. Please review the full policy below.

1. Booking Confirmation

A session booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • You have completed the pre-screening process
  • A specific date, time, and location have been agreed upon
  • Full payment has been received by Rant an Ear via the agreed payment method

Rant an Ear reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its sole discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued.

2. Cancellation by the Client

2.1 Cancellation with More Than 48 Hours' Notice

  • Full refund of session fee, minus any transaction or payment gateway charges (if applicable)
  • OR the option to reschedule once at no additional charge

2.2 Cancellation with 24–48 Hours' Notice

  • 50% refund of session fee
  • OR the option to reschedule once, subject to availability

2.3 Cancellation with Less Than 24 Hours' Notice

  • No refund will be issued
  • Rescheduling is not permitted; the session is considered forfeited

2.4 No-Show

If you fail to arrive at the scheduled session location within 15 minutes of the confirmed start time without prior notice, the session will be considered a no-show. No refund will be issued and rescheduling will not be available.

3. Cancellation by Rant an Ear

In exceptional circumstances, Rant an Ear may need to cancel a confirmed session. These include but are not limited to:

  • Listener unavailability due to illness or emergency
  • Venue closure or unforeseen circumstances
  • Safety concerns

In such cases, we will notify you as early as possible and offer either a full refund or a priority rescheduling at your preference. Rant an Ear's liability in such situations is strictly limited to the refund of the session fee paid. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by the client.

4. Rescheduling

  • One complimentary reschedule is permitted per booking if requested more than 48 hours before the session
  • Rescheduled sessions are subject to listener and slot availability
  • A session can only be rescheduled once; subsequent changes will be treated as a cancellation
  • Rescheduling requests must be made via Instagram DM or email to hello@rantanear.com

5. Refund Process

Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method. Rant an Ear is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment gateways. Transaction fees and payment processing charges are non-refundable in all cases.

6. Session Termination During Service

Rant an Ear reserves the right to terminate a session immediately and without refund if a client:

  • Is verbally abusive, threatening, or disrespectful toward the listener
  • Engages in inappropriate, sexual, or harassing behavior
  • Appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Attempts to record the session without consent
  • Violates any provision of our Terms of Service

7. Package Sessions (Triple Session Package)

  • Package sessions must be used within 90 days of purchase
  • Unused sessions after 90 days will expire with no refund
  • Individual sessions within a package are subject to the same cancellation terms as single sessions
  • Partial refunds for partially used packages: refunds are calculated at the single session rate for each unused and uncancelled session remaining, less any applicable cancellation fees

8. Force Majeure

Rant an Ear shall not be held liable for any failure to provide services or process refunds in a timely manner due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government orders, public health emergencies, power failures, or internet outages.

9. Disputes

Any disputes regarding cancellations or refunds must be raised within 7 days of the session date by contacting hello@rantanear.com. Claims raised after this period will not be entertained. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
